MRS. Hadravaís SEPTEMBER 2017 title I page

Title I is up and running. As part of my Title I service, I will provide a monthly Title I page to update you regarding what your child is working on in Title I.This will give you direction about what to emphasize at home each month to help reinforce your childís learning. On the second page of my monthly website, I will include websites to enhance your childís learning.

On the second page of my monthly Title I Page, I will include websites to enhance your childís learning. They will be able to access these sites at home, providing you have internet services at your house.

Each month, we will feature a new genre, or type of literature for your child to read and focus on.While in Title I, we will spend time reading from that genre, along with our other activities.Septemberís genre is humorous fiction. If youíd like to plan ahead, Octoberís genre will be mysteries. It would be great if you would set aside a time each evening to read with your child.Fifteen minutes a night would be fantastic, and half an hour would be even better!

Our school library has many excellent books available. The public library also has many books available if you have a library card.Library cards are free.I would encourage you to get one, if you havenít already done so.††

Parents frequently ask me what they can do to help their child read better. My suggestion is read to them and read with them.Just like getting better at music, sports, etc. requires practice, the same holds true for reading.Students will become better readers if they practice, practice, practice!Your kids are great workers while at Title I.I truly enjoy every one of them.If you ever have any questions, please donít hesitate to contact me at (218)652-3500, extension 218.I look forward to working with your child and you during this school year!
